FabFitfun Fall Box

If you are a pinner of Pinterest, then you’ve probably seen ads for the FabFitFun seasonal boxes. I couldn’t help myself so I clicked on the link and before i knew it I bought into it. When Birchbox first came out, I got on that bandwagon too. I only stopped my subscription because I moved out west and was in money saving mode. Plus, I didn’t want to go through the hassle of changing my address multiple times because I didn’t know where I’d be living and for how long. It was so much fun to get a surprise box of goodies in the mail, so I thought I’d get back into the groove with FabFitFun. Besides, it kind of goes along with my whole blog, so I’m forming a partnership. They just don’t know it yet!

I received a summer box, which you’ll see a video of below. I won’t go over the items in detail since this is no longer available, but I will tell you that I absolutely love the yoga towel. That is one thing that I always wanted to buy at bikram yoga when I was in that phase, but I never wanted to spend the money on. Score!

 

I just received my Fall box two days ago and I was pretty happy with everything in it. The color craze is still in full effect, so the box is outlined with pretty pictures that you can color. I colored a few little things, but a coloring book also came in the box so I figured I’d spend more time on that when I’m watching the telly. Mindless coloring has to be better than mindless candy crush right? If I color as much as I play candy crush, I’ll probably be through with that book in a week. I should choose to turn OFF the telly and color for clarity instead!

The boxes always come with a fabfitfun magazine which goes through the specifics of each product in the box. I, like most girls I’m sure, threw the magazine on the ground and started tearing through the box to see what goodies I got. C’mon, I’d rather touch, feel, wear, and smell things than read about them!

Ok, so after all of my excitement of going through the box, I really did flip and read through the magazine! Besides, if you don’t you might miss out on some great contests and giveaways!

The coolest thing about the Fall box, in my own personal opinion, is that six of the brands that I was gifted are founded by females! You go girls! I love to support my fellow female creatives and entrepreneurs. The other cool thing that you’ll find about FitFabFun, is that they pair with different charities. This Fall, they’ve paired with Pencil’s of Promise which focuses on quality education in underdeveloped countries and communities. They are all about progress. A few fall favorites:

  • The created co. coffee mug – We don’t have any cute to go coffee mugs in my house, plus my boyfriend starts to hoard them. I know that I’ll never lose this one, unless he wants to completely be embarrassed! Good Morning Gorgeous!! I love it and have already taken 5 selfies with it.
  • Pure Cosmetics Nude Collection Eyeshadows – okay, so I have an urban decay Naked palette that is very similar and cost me a pretty penny. It’s my daily go to palette and I’m running out of my favorite colors. I should be nice and give this to someone less fortunate, but I’m hiding it under my pillow so no one takes it from me. Keep your eyes on the prize.
  • Toesox – If you’ve ever taken a barre class, pilates, or yoga you’ll want these in your bag. They are super cute, plus they keep you from sliding all around and keeping up your great form. Organic cotton, bpa free, and pretty. Check out their website by clicking here for different styles!

21 Day Fix – Day 8

So this morning I got up and thought I’d weigh myself since it’s been one whole week. I haven’t lost a pound (insert blochy teary eyed face). I am not weighing myself anymore until the end. I know there isn’t anything wrong with me. I just had a check up at the Dr. and was issued an  A+ on my clean bill of health. No thyroid problems or anything. So I took a deep breath and said, “Jul, just stick to the program and it will all work out.”

My measurements haven’t changed either (for those of you wondering). Well I didn’t measure everything else today, just my arms, waist, and hips…but those didn’t change. 

So, someone has a case of the Monday’s…

Today instead of being out and about I’ll be in front of my computer for the most part of the day on conference calls and customer calls.We have an awesome new line we are representing called Cinda B so that’s super exciting! If you haven’t watched my vlogs or read any of my other posts, I am a territory manager for a company called Just Got 2 Have It. We rep so many great brands that you see in your local boutiques. It is such a fun job. Not only is it great because of the line up of brands we have, but our rep group is amazing – the best team I’ve ever been a part of (it’s mostly women and I haven’t even seen one cat fight), and fabulous customers!

I was going to try to workout this morning but I didn’t have time and accidently slept until 7:15m. Hopefully I can fit something in between work and my improv class tonight. If not, it’s going to be a late one!

The Workout:

Total Body Cardio Fix

Not to be confused with Cardio Fix, but they both kick your butt. The surrenders, which are the very first exercise after the warm up are getting easier for me. They are super easy on my right leg, but my left leg still struggles. My right leg has always been my dominant leg and also measures bigger. I think they still look pretty symetrical though.Crap, I’ve never thought about it. What if every time I walk into a room, somebody’s like, “Oh there goes Julie Ann with her big right thigh. I bet if you fry that up it would taste just like chicken!”

Omg, I hope not. Haters gonna hate. I bet my thighs do taste like chicken and now they’re going from processed and fatty to free range lean mean organic machines!

Anway, I do need some heavier weights for the leg exercises so hopefully I’ll have some time to grab some this week.

Today’s Eats:

Breakfast:

(1 red, 1/2 green)

  • Scrambled eggs with hot sauce
  • Green beans

We had plenty of green beans leftover from last night so I’m probably going to have the rest for lunch or dinner

Snack:

(1/2 green)

  • Green Beans

…or maybe I had the rest for a snack. I had them cold and they were a great snack actually. I might just have to make them for snacks. They’re like veggie fries!

Lunch:

(1 red, 1 yellow, 1/2 blue)

  • 1 can of tuna
  • black beans
  • shredded white cheddar and hot sauce to top it off

Oh you know, just love that canned protien!

Snack:

(1 1/2 green, 1 purple)

  • Strawberry Spinich smoothie with 4 oz almond milk and water

This is the same thing I had yesterday without the carrots. Sooo goood and refreshing.

Dinner:

(1/2 green, 2 red, 1/2 blue)

  • Bun less sandwich?

I guess that’s what it was. I fit in my workout in just enough time to take a shower, get on another call for work, then grab something out of the fridge before heading to my improv class. You know what’s good about improv class? It helps you improvise! I had no plan for dinner so I grabbed a couple of romaine lettuce leaves, some turkey, and some hummus. I cracked an egg in the pan and flipped that right on top and devoured it. That’s why there’s no picture. It was eggcellent and the yolk almost dribbled on to my white shirt but I did a little dance move and it went on to the floor instead. Don’t worry, I cleaned it up!

What a crazy day of eats. This is how I don’t meal prep. Works for me though.

I’m just getting home and am ready for bed. I also just had (2tsp) some almond butter because I didn’t use my teaspoons today. It was a nice little treat.

Class was fun, but I was a bit tired and not on top of it. I love watching my classmates more than anything. It almost, not quite, but almost makes me want to direct.

Here is another lesson learned through improv: 

Trust the process. It all comes together in the end.
