21 Day Fix – Day 19

I don’t have much to write today, but like I promised yesterday I have an announcement. Now you probably won’t be as excited as I am but I’m going to share it with you anyway. I posted a vlog on YouTube earlier today so I’m sharing below. Less reading more watching people! Let me know what you think!

The Workout:

Cardio Fix – Man oh man, my body was tired this morning. I got up a little later than I had planned so I decided to forego breakfast and get my workout done so I could get ready and go. I think I definitely need to eat a little something before working out. I don’t all the time, but I think since I’ve been doing double workouts this week it’s had an affect on me and my energy levels. Although, when I’m done with a workout and feel worn out, I feel like I could do another one an hour or two later! I decided to give my body a little bit of a rest today and skip the second workout. I made it through all of the cardio fix workout but i felt faint during a little of it so changed to the modifiers during the rounds I wasn’t feeling so hot in.

Today’s Eats:

Breakfast:

(1 red)

  • 2 hard boiled eggs

Snack:

(1 blue, 1 tsp)
Kind Bar

So I definitely needed more than hard boiled eggs after my workout. I got ready and found a Starbucks and tried to find something I could eat plus got two bottles of water, one of which I chugged there and then. I looked up kind bars and found a post from Autumn saying that she eats those for a snack and counts them as one blue and one tsp (to be on the safe side).  That was a win for me!

Lunch:

(1 green, 1 red, 1/2 orange)

  • Salad with romaine lettuce and grilled chicken

Afternoon and evening snack:

(1 purple)

  • Strawberries

Normally about 8 strawberries fill up a container for me depending on size so that’s what I had for a snack.

Another afternoon snack:

(1 yellow, 1/2 blue, 1/3 purple)

  • Corn tortilla chips
  • Guac
  • Salsa

So I had a little extra blue and purple today, but didn’t eat both yellow containers, so there!

Dinner:

(1 red, 2 green, 1/2 orange)

  • Spinach/spring mix salad with carrots, green onion, & tomato and dressing
  • Baked Cod seasoned with pepper, onion powder, paprika, & cumin
  • Steamed green beans (I think there must have been butter in them because they tasted better than usual)

I drove to Washington, GA this evening to see my parents, sister, and nephew so I had a great healthy home cooked meal!

Score for a Friday night!

I’m looking forward to my workout tomorrow already! We are going to a music festival tomorrow and can’t bring any food or drink in so I’m hoping some of the vendors will have healthy options. Wish me luck!
