This has been a great weekend. I love the great outdoors! We woke up at 8ish and my chef (otherwise known as my boyfriend and “the campfire King”) started making breakfast and I began cleaning up the tent. Once we ate we enjoyed the morning with a campfire cup of joe while sitting back with our books.
I thought I’d do Yoga when I got home today, but it was such a beautiful morning so after digesting breakfast I made it to my daily workout.
Yoga – I stretched it all out today and it felt most wonderful! My flexibility has come back and my muscles thanked me for giving them some love today.
I used to do yoga all the time when I belonged to a gym. After that I started doing Bikram yoga which I really loved but it got to be too expensive for my budget. It really is a great practice so I am glad that it is part of this new routine.
Listening to the birds chirping and sounds of nature in the background really brought me to a zen kind of place. Yoga is perfect for Sunday’s. Namaste.

Well, I all I had left to eat from the approved list in our cooler were the above. Tasty, but I wasn’t quite satisfied. I really missed having a vegetable or some fruit.
(1 red, 1/2 blue,1 yellow, 1 purple, 1 green)
- Canned tuna
- Black beans
I was so excited to get home just so I could pick something special out of my own food wardrobe. You’d think I’d pick something super fantastic, and it was…to me! This will be a staple until I get sick of it and never eat it again. I added some shredded cheese and hot sauce to my bb/tuna mix. I also was craving veggies & fruit which is entirely kind of new for me. I’ve always hated veggies and normally if I could pick a snack of choice I’d get chips (preferably plain ruffles or jalepèno kettle chips).
I guess hate is a strong word, because it’s not like I never ate a vegetable. I’ve always really loved salads. My tastebuds just appreciate me more now. I think since I’ve found new recipes and know how to cook and make things taste better, I’m more comfortable with choosing something good for me. This kind of came in my 30’s and now that I’m mid 30’s (yikes, that sounds weird), I’m a pro! I think I’m finally converting my boyfriends palate as well. Either that or he really really loves me and will eat anything I make him. Maybe it’s both 😍!

- Salad with fix approved dressing and black beans
- Green beans with Mrs. Dash
So I binged on Hulu and did laundry for the most part of the afternoon. If y’all don’t watch Scandal, it’s about to go down no matter what episode you start on. I started watching this show from the very start when it first began. Now I hardly have a schedule to watch tv so I use my Roku for evvvverything. I did not feel like making dinner, but then hungry happened and I had a vision of Olivia from Scandal telling me to push pause and make dinner. If Olivia tells you to do something. Oh, you do it!
For dinner I tried to fit in as many of my containers as I could which probably wasn’t the best plan because it’s best not to eat a ton before bed. At least it’s all healthy though and I can kickstart tomorrow with a workout. I added a little more red wine vinegar to the dressing I pre made on Friday to cut out the olive oil taste that was so substantial. It tasted much better! I made mashed potatoes in an instant (because they were instant mashed potatoes, duh) for my partner and didn’t even stick my finger in them.
Well that’s a lie. I stuck my finger in them, put it in my mouth…and then I spit it out. I’m a little mental if you haven’t noticed yet.Yep, will power still going strong on Day 7!
